Our recreational classes consist of kinderdance (ages 2 1/2 thru age 5),
ballet,
technique, tap, jazz, hip hop, tumbling, lyrical and
Adult Classes,
Anyone from age 2 1/2 yrs thru adults can participate in
recreational classes. No auditions
are
necessary.
Each dancer will learn a routine in the dance style of choice and have
the
opportunity to perform
at
the year-end recital (optional). Recreational classes focus on
basic
dance moves
and may
incorporate
some leaps, turns, and basic
gymnastics, as well as freestyle
hip hop.
Dance increases
self-esteem, gain confidence, develops mind and body coordination, improves
posture and helps
to build stronger
bodies through pleasure and exercise. Dance allows you to
make
friends to last
a lifetime.
Costumes & Cost
Costumes:
Costume fees vary depending on the discretion of each individual
teacher
and their desires for each class. We do, try to keep these costs
minimal.
Costumes will be ordered when all music and routines are established
for
each class. The costumes will be worn in the "year-end recital"
(optional).
Whenever feasible, we try to use a two-in-one costume for
combination classes.
Costume prices do not include tights, shoes, or accessories.
Shoes can be modified
to achieve the desired color and texture based on the discretion of
the individual
teacher. All costume fees are due at the tune the order is placed,
sometime
during the month of November. This fee may also be deducted from
your
debit/credit card or by check, unless other arrangements are made
for payment.
Cost: Costumes may range
from $55 to $80 depending on the costume and
accessories.

** Tap/Jazz Shoes may be purchased @ Kinney's Dancewear
on Hurstbourne Lane.
Children's ballet shoes may be purchased @ Payless or Target Stores.
